Niseko Portfolio is an innovative property management and holiday rental company operating a growing portfolio of accommodation in Niseko and Rusutsu. We provide a variety of quality accommodation and hospitality services in boutique hotels, condominiums and holiday homes. We build strong relationships with our clients, ensuring that all of our customers get the best out of their holiday.

We are currently seeking a multiskilled and customer focused individual to join our team as a Host for the upcoming winter season. As a Host at Niseko Portfolio, you are required to work in multiple roles and maintain first class hospitality to all of our guests.

• Working around various departments and always willing to learn new skills

• Ensuring guests have a seamless check-in and check-out experience

• Provide information and assistance to our guests wherever required

• Communicating with guests via phone call, email, face to face and on OTA platforms and managing pre arrival information

• Booking services for guests, answering guest requests and giving recommendations on activities and restaurants

• Process payments and handle booking-related administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy

• Safely transport guests to and from various locations within the area, including accommodation, restaurants, activities, and shopping trips

• Breakfast service, restaurant service, bartending and kitchen porter duties

• Housekeeping duties, including full changeovers

• Maintaining and comfortable and welcoming environment

• Removing snow from vehicles and properties

• Working and communicating as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the operation

• Previous experience in Chalets or Hotels preferred

• Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or travel industry preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Japanese) are a plus

• Passion for travel, outdoor recreation, and exploring new destinations

• Valid International Driver's License

• Must have or be eligible for a Japanese Working Holiday Visa

• Full-time and Part-time contracts are available

• Seasonal employment with the opportunity for extension (Dec 1st, 2024 - March 1st / 15th, 2025)

• Competitive hourly wage - ¥ 1600 per hour - Estimated 35 hours per week.

• 50% Rusutsu Lift Pass value reimbursement upon completion of the contract and end-of-season performance review

• Japan National Health Insurance coverage - deducted from salary

• Staff housing options available - deducted from salary

• 2 complimentary transfer dates from New Chitose Airport to Staff accommodation
