Job Description:
We are currently seeking a friendly, responsible, and service-driven Lodge Host Couple to join our team for the upcoming winter season. In this hands-on role, you will be solely responsible for the day-to-day operation of a 16 bed lodge, ensuring that all guest needs are met while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and relaxed environment.
As a Lodge Host couple, you will interact directly with guests - offering local recommendations, assisting with activity bookings, and creating a memorable, home-away-from-home experience. Your warm hospitality and attention to detail will be key to ensuring our guests enjoy an unforgettable stay.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring guests have a seamless check-in and check-out experience
Solely responsible for emergency matters within the lodge
Provide information and assistance to our guests wherever required
Communicating with guests via phone call, email, face to face and on OTA platforms and managing pre arrival information
Booking services for guests, answering guest requests and giving recommendations on activities and restaurants
Safely transport guests to and from various locations within the area (Ski Shuttle)
Housekeeping duties, including full changeovers and linen orders
Maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment
Removing snow from vehicle and property
Working and communicating as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the operation
Preparing continental breakfast
Communicating any grievances to management as required
Documentation of any new procedures
Control and management of stock and ordering
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous experience working in chalets, lodges, or similar hosted accommodations
Background in customer service, hospitality, or the travel industry is highly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills, especially Japanese, are a strong advantage
Passion for travel, outdoor adventure, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Both individuals must hold a valid International Driver's License
Must have, or be eligible for, a Japanese Working Holiday Visa
