Guest Services (2021)

We have seasonal positions available on our Guest Services Team for the 2021/22 Winter season.

As a part of our Guest Services Team, you will be responsible for attending to the needs of our guests and ensuring that everything runs smoothly during their stay - from before their arrival to after their check out.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pre-arrival room set up and post-departure checks
  • Offering general information to guests about the local area, activities and restaurants
  • Meet and greet guest arriving at the bus / train stations and transfer them to their accommodation.
  • Guest shuttle.
  • Coordinating to pick-up and drop-off of guests when required
  • Reporting any maintenance issues
  • General guest relations and helping resolve customer complaints
  • Assisting reservations staff with managing incoming booking requests
  • Promoting and assisting guests with booking guest services
  • Daily snow management
  • Ensuring the separation of guests' rubbish as per Japanese rubbish collection rules
  • During the peak season, staff may be asked to work extra hours, which will be repaid during the quieter parts of the season.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Independent thinker
  • Team player
  • Willing to work some early mornings and some late nights if required
  • Fluent Japanese (business level or better)
  • Ability to think quickly and react to situations accordingly
  • Love snow!
  • Japanese or International Driving License (valid in Japan)
  • Must have Japanese Working Holiday Visa

  • 2 days off each week, based on a weekly schedule
